FRANK LYNCH SJ LIBRARY OPENING

Dear PSSC Regular Members-representatives,

We are pleased to announce the opening of Frank Lynch SJ Library of the Philippine Social Science Council. This specialized social science library has a rich collection of:

  • Journals of 14 professional social science societies in the Philippines: Aghamtao, Philippine Journal of Communication, Philippine Population Review, Philippine Review of Economics, Philippine Geographical Journal, Philippine Journal of History, Historical Bulletin, Philippine Journal of Linguistics, Philippine Political Science Journal, Philippine Journal of Psychology, Philippine Journal of Public Administration, Social Work, Philippine Sociological Review, and the Philippine Statistician
  • Journals produced by academe-based research centers in different parts of the country such as the Silliman Journal (Silliman University), Kinaadman (Xavier University), and Philippine Quarterly of Culture and Society (University of San Carlos), e.g.
  • Social science journals of foreign institutions (e.g. Social Sciences in China, International Social Science Journal)
  • Pioneering works of key Filipino social scientists (e.g. F. Landa Jocano, Arsenio Manuel, Alfredo Lagmay) as well as materials on the Philippines written by foreign scholars.
  • Books, monographs, conference proceedings, theses and dissertations from the analytical lens of anthropology, communication, demography, economics, geography, history, linguistics, political science, psychology, public administration, social work, sociology, and statistics
